Dear school teachers and university professors,
The cultural center administered by the Diplomatic Relations Section of the U.S. Embassy in the Republic of Moldova, America House Chisinau www.americahouse.md, organizes free of charge study visits, academic, personal and professional development programs, and events for students aged 14 to 26, from Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00-18:00 / 12:00-20:00.
We offer activities in English according to the age and field of study of your students:
- 3D lessons and interactive videos
- smart board activities
- presentation/workshop on various topics of interest
- discussion sessions/debate sessions
- interactive games (Jeopardy, Quizzes, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Monopoly, Scrabble, Twister, Janga)
- virtual visits to the USA using Virtual Reality glasses
- board games
- movie screenings (short films/documentaries) in English
School teachers and university professors can organize joint projects, programs, and events in English, Romanian, and Russian with America House Chisinau targeting students aged 18 to 26. America House can co-finance these programs and cover certain expenses (speaker/trainer, supplies, photocopying, educational software, etc.), if they cover the following topics of interest:
- promoting American culture and exchanging best practices with the U.S.;
- promoting democratic institutions and respect for the rule of law (democracy, anti-corruption, freedom of the press and independence of media channels, media literacy etc.);
- promoting inclusive economic growth and development (entrepreneurship, sustainable economy, creating an attractive business climate, reducing corruption, mitigating and adapting to climate change, reducing poverty and the rate of emigration, etc.);
- preparation for the TOEFL, SAT, and GRE international exams;
- promoting regional stability efforts, peacekeeping, conflict resolution, and supporting disaster relief efforts.
