On the 13th of October, America House Chișinău hosted a discussion with Ana-Maria Brînză, TechWomen Ambasador, about Opportunities for women in Tech.
A career in tech might seem challenging, but there are a lot of opportunities for students and women in tech. In the live session, Ana-Maria talked about the existing opportunities for women in Moldova and how they can start a career in tech or advance on the career ladder.
Our guest also presented the TechWomen mentoring program and how the TechWomen Ambassadors came up with the idea and managed to organize this successful 3-months program.
During the live stream, Ana-Maria shared about her experience with Global UGRAD, the interaction with the Society of Women in Engineering in the US, which resulted in her active involvement in local communities that supports and encourages women in engineering and tech.
We found out more details about ‘Liga Studentelor în Inginerie’ – an organization that encourages girls and female students to pursue a career in engineering and strive for leadership roles.
This session was destined for all those who want to embrace a career in tech but do not know where to start or do not have the courage.
