    ONLINE TOOLS FOR INTERACTIVE TEACHING

    AMERICA HOUSE MASSIVE OPEN ONLINE COURSE

    For English language teachers

    The MOCC  includes 6 asynchronous assignments, 3 webinars and a final project. 

    Participants who complete all assignments, participate in all webinars and submit the final project will receive a certificate of completion.

    INTRODUCTORY TASK

    In order to introduce themselves, participants will create a collage that will include: 

    • your name, 
    • your occupation, 
    • your school and
    • the online tools you are familiar with. 

    Recommended online tools to complete this assignment Canva, Crello, Fotojet, Piktochart or any other online tool you prefer.

    • Which of the 6 tips did you find most useful and why?
    • What do RAT and PIC stand for and how do you apply them in your teaching? Give at least one example.

    ASSIGNMENT 2

    This week participants explore several web tools that work as online interactive notice boards. They choose one of the tools recommended in the list below, create one assignment for one of their classes and post it in the comments section as a JPEG or PNG attachment.     AWW https://awwapp.com is a Web whiteboard touch-friendly online whiteboard app that makes drawing, collaboration and sharing easy. Great for younger students.

    Tricider https://www.tricider.com is a social voting tool. You can ask a question and invite students to share their votes and opinions.

    iDroo https://idroo.com/about connects thousands of students with teachers for real-time collaboration all over the world. Many tools to choose from.

    ASSIGNMENT 3

    This week participants explore several web tools that can help teachers create interactive activities.

    Participants will choose three of the tools recommended here, will create three activities and post all three links in one comment on our Facebook page.

    Their task is going to to be creating a short, 3-5 min video lesson and post the link in the comments section.

    ASSIGNMENT 6

    This week participants will learn how to use a lesson planner. They will choose a topic from their curriculum and create a lesson plan that will include various online tools studied during this MOOC.

    3) Create a collection for that lesson: post there all the links from your lesson plan: videos, interactive exercises, quizzes, etc.

    5) Leave a comment to 3 other colleagues regarding their collections – what did you like about their resources? Good luck, everyone!

    FINAL TASK

    In the last week participants will share their impressions regarding the online tools studied during this MOOC.


    They will explain how the course helped them diversify their teaching portfolio by means of video comments via FlipGrid.
