Forget Me Not Day is an unofficial holiday that encourages people to try and reconnect with all those
they may not be in touch with anymore. We all have people we love and care about, but are bad about
keeping in touch. So this day is a perfect chance to stay connected with your family, relatives and
friends, especially those whom you haven't seen in a while.
– It is not clear who created this holiday, which is also called National Forget Me Not Day in the U.S.
During this workshop, participants created an original card, made as an origami for someone who is far
away saying that even though they haven’t been in touch they still miss them and care about them. They
also learned about the history of this holiday and why it is celebrated in the U.S.
