On September 22, America House Chisinau organized a webinar about the project “FinTech – Financial Technology for everyone’s understanding!”, which is implemented and organized with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Sweden under the “Tekwill Ambassadors” Program.
The guest speaker, Doina Chiseliță, is a financial technology consultant at EY (Ernst & Young) in London, where she helps FinTech companies to grow and expand their business, by offering consulting services and implementing innovative techniques. Currently, Doina collaborates with the MentorMe project as a mentor and FinTech Lead, to create the first FinTech course in Romanian, delivered digitally and for free.
Our guest spoke about the purpose of the “FinTech – Financial Technology for everyone’s understanding!” project which is to develop the knowledge of the public in the Republic of Moldova regarding the practices and tools in the field of FinTech.
She pointed out that the “FinTech” project is aimed for young people and addresses topics such as FinTech, how FinTech emerged and developed, the impact of FinTech on the financial industry and its benefits, FinTech products and services for different categories and related certain technologies, such as artificial intelligence, the involvement of big players in FinTech, and finally how can you build a successful FinTech company?
Although there is a dose of reluctance on the part of people towards everything that is unknown, it is important to realize that absolutely every transaction or financial service provided is made through FinTech technologies. That is why this field has become an indispensable element in the education of the young generation, in order to understand how it works and to adapt it to their specific needs.
