Climate change issues have already migrated from science fiction films about the future to our reality. We regularly hear about natural disasters, but we stand aside, because this does not concern us. But isn’t it really about us and our reality?
On September 8th, America House Chisinau hosted a live stream with Vladislav Caim, a member of the first Youth Advisory Group on Climate Change under the UN Secretary-General . During the broadcast, he talked about what “green” jobs are, how the decision-making process at the UN is going on and what kind of contribution are we making to address the climate change issues.
Vladislav noted that the Republic of Moldova is the most vulnerable country in case of a climate crisis. That is why environmental issues should be raised both at the individual and state levels.
Vladislav Kaim is an economist and journalist from Moldova, a member of the first Youth Advisory Group on Climate Change under the UN Secretary-General. He calls for the creation of clean and decent jobs for young people and an in-depth knowledge of international trade and migration.
